The current study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using enhancement and counseling in the alleviation of stuttering among primary school students.
Study Problem:
The study problem is determined by the following questions:
1 - Are there differences in stuttering between individuals of the experimental group and control in the pre application?
2 - Are there any differences in the mitigation of stutter among the individuals of the experimental group due to the use of reinforcement and guidance between the pre and post application?
3 - Are there differences in the mitigation of stutter among the experimental group individuals due to the use of enhancement and counseling between the pre and post application?
4 - Are there any differences in the mitigation of stuttering between individuals of the experimental group and control the pre and post application?
Objectives of the study:
The present study aims to:
1 - investigate the effectiveness of using enhancement and counseling in reducing stuttering among primary school pupils.
2 - investigate of differences in the mitigation of stuttering as a result of the use of enhancement and counseling between the experimental and control groups.
3 - investigate of differences in the experimental group as a result of the impact of the use of enhancement and counseling between pre and sequential measurement.
Study Significance:
The significance of the present study lies in the importance of the subject, which is the enhancement and counseling and its relation to stuttering. The study seeks to discover the existence of the relationship between the variables, in addition to the importance of the class covered by the study, which is the class of students in primary school.
Study Delimitations
The study is delimited to the following:
- Temporal limits: The program was applied in 20 sessions for two months, three sessions per week, each session is 60 minutes.
2. Spatial boundaries: The program was implemented and implemented at the Rufa Center for Communication of the Islamic charitable Society in Maragha, Sohag Governorate, after approval by the Center’s administration and parents of the study sample.
Study sample:
The sample of the study consisted of (20) students who were students of primary stage.
They were divided into the following: - Experimental sample, consisting of (10), (5) males, (5) females. - A control sample, consisting of (10), (5) males, (5) females.
Study sample:
The sample of the study consisted of (20) students who were students of primary stage.
They were divided into the following: - Experimental sample, consisting of (10), (5) males, (5) females. - A control sample, consisting of (10), (5) males, (5) females.
Study Tools:
The stuttering scale developed by Riley (1994) and a training program based on enhancement and counseling prepared by the researcher.
Study hypotheses:
In light of the above, the hypotheses can be stated as follows:
1. There are statistically significant differences in stutter mitigation among members of the experimental group on the stutter scale in the pre and post measurements in favor of post measurement .
2. There are statistically significant differences in stutter mitigation between the experimental group and the control group on the stutter scale in telemetry in favor of the experimental group .
3. There are statistically significant differences in stutter mitigation among the experimental group on the stutter scale in the telemetric and tracer measurements in favor of the tracer measurement .
Study results:
1. There are statistically significant differences between the mean of the ranks of the students of the experimental group on the stochastic scale in the pre and post measurement for the favor of the post-measurement.
2. There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the students of the experimental and control groups on the post scale for favor of the experimental group.
3. There are statistically significant differences between the mean of the ranks of the students of the experimental group on the scale of stuttering in the post and successive measurements for the favor of sequential measurement. on the stutter scale in telemetry in favor of the experimental
