The extent availability of ethical leadership and its impact on reducing administrative corruption:
”An empirical study in the Iraqi ministry
of higher education”
Aims: The current study aimed to :
 Identify the extent availability of ethical leadership in the Iraqi ministry of higher education
 Identify the extent of administrative corruption in the Iraqi ministry of higher education.
 Measure the effect of dimensions of ethical leadership and its impact on reducing administrative corruption in the Iraqi ministry of higher education.
 Identify the impact of demographic variables on realizing the extent availability of ethical leadership and reducing administrative corruption.
 Introduce some suggestions and recommendations to benefit from the results achieved.
The method:
The researcher used the comprehensive survey method on the study population. The study participants were 277, which included department directors, divisional and unit officials from the employees in the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education. The researcher also used data analysis using computer and statistical package of social sciences program SPSS.
The study results:
 The study verified the validity of the first main hypothesis and all the sub-hypotheses where it found a statistically significant impact on all dimensions of ethical leadership (justice, ethical principles, orientation towards individuals and separation of authorities) on reducing administrative corruption in the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education.
 The study verified that the second hypothesis was partially incorrect as there is variance between the respondents’ opinions in each of ethical leadership (justice, ethical principles, orientation towards individuals and separation of authorities) according to demographic characteristics (gender, age, educational qualification and service), whereas there were no statistically significant differences according to social status and employment on the dimensions of ethical leadership.
 The study verified that the third hypothesis was partially incorrect as there is variance between the respondents’ opinions according to gender in each of the administrative corruption dimensions according to demographic characteristics (age, educational qualification, social status and employment). At last there are statistically differences according to service in the administrative corruption dimensions.
