Abstract A new quaternary series of alumino-borate and borosilicate glass systems were successfully prepared. XRD patterns confirmed the amorphous nature of the present glasses. The samples are characterized with respect to their structure, vibrational and optical properties. The systematic replacement of present oxide by doped oxide was found to affect the density and molar volume, leading to change both of them. Optical Properties for both of them were found to give a good results with the target of study. Promising features of the obtained results suggests that these glasses are potential candidates for optical applications such as optical devices and filters. |
