Abstract The work presented in this thesis has emphasized on the synthesis and reactions of some new pyrazoline derivatives, particularly, for the synthesis of some new 4-triazeno-antipyrine starting from 4-aminoantipyrine (4-amino-2,3-dimethyl-1-phenyl-5-pyrazolone) as a key starting compound. The chemistry and pharmacological activity of pyrazoline derivatives received considerable interest due to their wide range of biological and pharmacological activities. A variety of compounds having a 5-pyrazolone moiety as a structural unit, have been synthesized and studied, with interest centered on their potential pharmaceutical activity. Accordingly, the present study has focused on the synthesis of some new 4-triazeno-antipyrines, and polyaza compounds such 1,5-hexaazadienes, 1,4-pentaazadienes and tetraazenes incorporating Antipyrine Moiety. The new products might possess considerable synthetic and pharmaceutical interest.T he material presented in this thesis is separated into two main parts.
