Abstract

This chapter presents a summary of the study including: - the problem of the study, purpose, questions, delimitations, participants, tools, hypotheses, procedures and results of the study.Problem of the Study The problem of the present study lies in the obvious weakness of EFL vocabulary learning and retention aspects among sixth year primary school pupils.Purpose of the StudyThe purpose of the present study was to investigate the effectiveness of the repeated reading strategy in developing EFL vocabulary learning and retention among sixth year primary school pupils.Questions of the Study To face this problem, the present study attempted to answer the following questions;What are the EFL vocabulary learning aspects required for sixth year primary school pupils?How can a repeated reading strategy be used to develop the sixth year primary school pupil’s vocabulary learning and retention?What is the effectiveness of using the repeated reading strategy in developing EFL vocabulary learning among sixth year primary school pupils?What is the effectiveness of using the repeated reading strategy in developing EFL vocabulary retention among sixth year primary school pupils?
