Abstract The diagnosis of perianal fistula is now depending increasingly upon imaging techniques, in particular magnetic resonance imaging as several studies have reported a high concordance rate (86–88%) between MRI and surgical findings The aim of our study to demonstrate role of DWMRI (diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging) in visibility of perianal fistula also evaluating activity of the detected fistula. The present study was carried out on 30 patients who had perianal fistula complaint. Those 30 patients were referred from surgery department to radiodiagnosis and imaging department at Tanta University for MRI examination and evaluation ,the age of patients ranged from 19 to 60 years and all patients subjected to history taking, general and local examination and MRI examination. |
