ABSTRACT
The research study focused on the differences between the
legitimacy of the state’s right to possess nuclear weapons, which
ensures and deters any possible aggression on its territory and its
territory and the preservation of its sovereignty on the one hand,
and between the international legitimacy which prohibits nuclear
proliferation on the other hand , North Korea’s continued
development of its missile capabilities is a threat to regional
security, both for South Korea and Japan, and a threat to
international security for the United States and its allies.
The study highlighted these threats by highlighting the
evolution of North Korea’s missile program and its impact on
regional and international security International isolation has been
a catalyst for North Korea’s continued pursuit of sophisticated
missile capabilities in self-defense.
At the end of the study, the study presented a number of
scenarios on resolving the North Korean nuclear crisis between
the military option, international sanctions through sanctions by
the UN Security Council, or through diplomacy through
agreements and negotiations.
