Abstract The ECG has now become a standered and commonly used diagnostic tool that is employed by practitioners in all fields of pediatrics. EGCs are now commonly performed in the inpatient and outpatient settings to evaluate for congenital heart disease, to assess for arrhythmias to evaluate cardiac symptoms, and to screen for cardiovascular diseases. With the advances in recording of cardiac impulses by means of electrocardiogram and proper understanding of normal ECG among different age groups became easy to detect cardiac arrhythmias early and accurate differentiation between different types which greatly affects choosing the most suitable way of treatment and follow up response to treatment. |
