Abstract The present investigation was designed to evaluate the effect of administration of ginger & garlic on some biochemical and molecular parameters in the serum and whole blood of male albino rats. Histopathological alterations in liver were also examined. The present study was carried out on totally seventy male adult albino rats average weighing at the beginning of the experiment (190 + 20gm). Rats were housed in groups of ten in cage (cage for each group) with a relative humidity (55+ 10%) and light/dark (12:12 hours). Animals from all groups kept under similar environmental condition of temperature, illumination, acoustic noise, and ventilation. Food and water were kept in special open containers fixed in the walls of the cages. Cleaning and changing water and food were done for all animals twice daily. After 2 weeks of feeding with high-fat (HF) diet, 10 rats were separated to be used as . |
