Abstract Summary and Conclusion CTA is a well-established imaging standard in evaluation of vessel diseases. Coronary CTA had emerged as a result of new and fast CT scanners. ECG gated imaging techniques have resulted in good quality images of cardiac structures and coronary arteries with good spatial and temporal resolution facing the challenge of cardiac motion. Also Aortic and Pulmonary CTA is well known standard for pulmonary and aortic imaging. The fast and rapid technology in CT scanners have resulted in labour of TRO CTA. Using TRO CTA we are able to image all vascular structures in one exposure saving time and cost. Our study question was, is TRO CTA is really valuable in emergency department? Does it provide a diagnostic image for each these vessels that can help in diagnosis of pathological condition causing acute chest pain? So in aim to answer our research question, 45 acute patients with intermediate risk to ACS have done TRO CTA searching for diagnosis for their acute chest pain. And we found the following 1- We were able to discharge 17.7% of our patient (8 out 45) who had negative examination results without evidence of significant coronary or non-coronary diagnosis. 2- We were able to diagnose coronary artery disease in 57.7% of our patient (26 out 45) had coronary artery disease A-40% (18 of 45) had significant coronary stenosis <50% stenosis. |
