Abstract

The cotton aphid, Aphis gossypii Glover and whitefly, Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) infest cotton plants simultaneously with bollworms infestation during the fruiting stage. Therefore, four insecticides, recommended to control bollworms namely, chlorpyrifos, methomyl, deltamethrin and emamectinbenzoate and other three novel insecticides i.e. flonicamid, thiamethoxam and imidacloprid were evaluated for their efficacy against A. gossypii and B. tabaci on cotton plants under the field conditions during 2016 and 2017. The collateral impacts of these insecticides on non-target organismis were studied as well.
