Abstract
Infertility is a fundamental issue for couples in childbearing age all over the world. Infertility is a special reproductive health defect that is different from other diseases. It is not life threatening, but the detrimental influence of infertility to patients, their families and the whole society should not be underestimated. Infertility is defined as the inability to achieve pregnancy after one year of regular, unprotected intercourse.
The aim of this study was to improve reproductive health of the studied population. This was achieved through determination of the prevalence of infertility and study of infertility risk factors among studied group.
The study was conducted in (Horeen) family health unit and (Birkat Alsaba) family health center. Women in the child bearing period attending to family health facilities for any medical help were the target in the study. Diagnosis of infertility was done by its definition.
The study was conducted in the context of time frame of twelve months from April, 2017 to March, 2018. All the participants in the study were evaluated using pre-designed questionnaire to assess the socio-demographic characteristics, life style characteristics, obstetric history, gynecological and surgical history.

1- The prevalence of infertility was 25%. The prevalence of primary and secondary infertility was 9% and 16 % respectively among the studied participants.
