Abstract
Chalcogenide glasses drew much attention in the last periods because of their remarkable physical properties, which can be controlled by changing the chemical composition, Chalcogenide glasses presently have numerous promising applications in many fields. Selenium was believed to be as the main representive among this class of materials but the Selenium-Tellyrium chalcogenides and the glasses based on them exhibit numerous advantages in comparison.
