Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of using Autologous Concentrated Growth Factors (CGF) Enriched Bone Graft Matrix (Sticky Bone) and CGF-Enriched Fibrin Membrane in management of bone defect around endosseous dental implant in narrow maxillary anterior ridge to enhance esthetics and function.
This study was conducted on six patients (4 females and 2 males ) selected from outpatient clinic of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department ,Faculty of Dentistry, Alexandria University .Each had anterior maxillary edentulous spaces. Their ages ranged from 22-40 years old with mean of 28.33 years .eleven implants were placed in this study.
Patients evaluation
All cases were evaluated for:
• Pain on the 2nd day postoperatively, after 45 days and 6 months
• Implant mobility 6 months postoperatively.
• Implant stability using Ostell device which showed satisfying results.
• Radiographic evaluation immediately postoperative to assess labial vertical bone defect and 6 months postoperative to assess defect coverage
Clinical and radiographic results
Clinical results revealed minimal pain among all patients. None of the patients were presented with either infection or mobility.
• CBCT was taken immediately post-operatively to evaluate the accuracy of dental implant placement and to assess the labial bone defect with mean of 5.27 ± 0.47 SD with maximum value of 6.0 mm and minimum value of 4.50 mm.
• Six months post-operative CBCT showed complete coverage of vertical bone defect in 5 implants while, the remaining 6 implants showed incomplete coverage of the defect with mean of 4.59 ± 0.49 SD with minimum value of 4.0 mm and maximum value of 5.0 mm and i.e The remaining defect in those 6 implants was decreased to mean value of 1.25 ± 0.69 SD with maximum value of 2.0 mm and minimum value of 0.5 mm
