Abstract In this study we tried to highlight the clinical utility of DTI properties in qualitative and quantitative assessment of white matter injury in multiple sclerosis patients and studying of CST abnormalities as a major white matter tract causing motor deficit and to assess the value of DTI as diagnostic and prognostic tool which can help in early management for better life style. Fifty cases of different types of MS are included in this study diagnosed clinically and laboratory as MS. It was conducted between August 2013 and January 2018. We have revealed the high sensitivity of DTI in propping occult damage of NAWM non evident on conventional MRI, suggesting its influence on patient clinical score aiming to improve the diagnostic properties of DTI. We also tried to fined correlation between the DTI parameters and the patient clinical score aiming to use it as a valuable predictor for clinical outcome and improving the therapeutic trials |
