Abstract This study has been done to evaluate the relationship between serum albumin and intradialytic hypotention. Fifty patients, were included in our study .They have been divided into two groups Group1: Patients of this group developed recurrent episodes of IDH. group 2: Patients of this group without IDH. Data collected from each patient included: A. Clinical features (age, sex, blood pressure changes during session, U.F.R ,IDWG, blood flow of the machine ,surface area of dialyzer and duration of dialysis) B. Blood chemistry (creatinine, urea, hemoglobin, hematocrit value, albumin, triglycerides, cholesterol, AST, ALT, kt/v, sodium and potassium). C. Echocardiography and Ultrasound on the IVC. At the end of the study we have found that: 1. There was a significant negative correlation between serum albumin and age. 2. There was a highly significant negative correlation between serum albumin and delta systolic BP in HD patients. 3. There wasa highly significant negative correlation between delta systolic blood pressure and IVC diameter. |
