Abstract The most important vectors of human and animal infectious diseases are the synanthropic flies. The problem becomes more severe with the increase in the number of these filthy flies as they cause a great damage for veterinary animals. Therefore, the present study was performed to evaluate synanthropic flies as vectors for pathogens (bacteria) at different animal barns to reflect the interaction of flies with different animals and the level and difference of prevalence of pathogens. Environmental conditions According to the data obtained from the central laboratory for agriculture climate (CLAC) at the Agriculture Research Center, Sohag, monthly variations in temperature and relative humidity throughout the investigation period were recorded. The average minimum temperatures ranged between 8.5 to 23°C, while the average maximum temperatures ranged between 22 to 39.2°C. The annual minimum relative humidity ranged between 12% (June) to 21.7% (March). Whereas, the maximum relative humidity rang |
