Abstract
Broadening of an optical signal at a receiver due to the effect of chromatic dispersion yield the receiver a worng detection for 1 and 0 from the received optical signal this challengr affects negatively on the overall performance of optical link as well as on a Q-factor parameter the Q -factor is an important parameter to measure the signal quality and is used to enhance the system performance.
