Abstract Study stainless steel 304 corrosion in 1 M HCl and its inhibition using some organic compounds using chemical methods like weight loss and electrochemical methods like Potentiodynamic polarization technique, Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and Atomic force microscopy. All methods prove that corrosion rate decreased with increasing corrosion inhibitors which means increasing corrosion inhibition efficiency. Metal surface examined by atomic force microscopy that shows much less damage on the surface of stainless steel 304 immersed in 1M HCl solution without inhibitor. |
