Abstract Addiction is a chronic, relpsing brain disease that is characterized by compulsive drug seeking and use, despite harmful consequences. Drug addict Patients using less effective coping strategies in response to stress because of cognitive distortion which lead to increase their addiction, decrease their life satisfaction and poorer quality of life. The Present study aimed to:- Assess quality of life (QOL) and coping Strategies among addict Patients and to determine the relationship between (QOL) & coping strategies among addict Patients. Setting:- This study was conducted at minia Psychiatric Health and Addiction Hospital in inpatient units and outpatient clinics The capacity for the hospital is 53 beds. The hospital serves Minia governorate. Sample:- A purposeful sample of100 male addict Patients divided equally into 50 cases frome inpatient unit and 50 cases from out- Patient clinic were included in the study for six months frome the beginning of june to end of noember 2016 |
