Tools of the study included: An achievement test on language skills and a motivation scale. Results of the study showed that there was a statistically significant difference (favoring the experimental group) between mean scores obtained by the experimental and control groups in the post test of language skills and there was a statistically significant difference (favoring the experimental group) between mean scores obtained by the experimental and control groups in the post-performance of the motivation scale. Based on those results, the researcher recommends the necessity of implementing role playing strategies in teaching English grammar to develop the four skills of English language and for increasing learners’ motivation for learning English. |
