SUMMARY
Bile acids (BAs) are a group of water-soluble steroids formed during the catabolism of cholesterol, and synthesised in the hepatocytes of the liver. The products, cholic acid (CA), and chenodeoxycholic acid (CDCA), are called primary bile acids. The aim of the present thesis concerned with the complexes of CDCD with Co,Cu,Zn and Mn ions.
Elucidation of the structures were carried out by using several spectroscopic and thermal analysis technique.
The thesis entitled ” physico-chemical Studies On Some Organic Compounds and their transation Metal Complexes , comprises three main chapter.
The first chapter is the introducation includes a literature survery of chenodeoxycholic acid and its complexes. Elucidation of the structures as well as the biological and thermal properties were includes.
The second chapter is concerned with the experimental technique and describes the procedure used for The preparation of chenodeoxycholic acid and its metal complex . Analytical techniques and thermal methods of analysis were provided.
The thired chapter is concerned with the results and discussion. Infrared spectra of the ligand and its complexes show that CDCD behaves as bidentate and the chelation between the ligand and the metal occurs through the carboxylate Oxygen. And the carbonyl oxygen. The water of coordination was found in the suggested structure of the formed complexes. Thermal anlysis technique were used to investigate thermal stability of the tested ligand and its complexes.
The thermodynamic parameters and evalution of kinetic parameters (E*,ΔH*,ΔG* and ΔS*) of all decomposition stages have been evaluted using

Coats-redfern and Horowitz-hetzger methods. Molecular docking between the ligand with receptors of breast cancer mutant 3hb5 and prostate cancer mutant
2q7k. The docking study showed a favorable interaction between the ligand with these receptors. The determination of the proton-ligand dissociation constant of chenodeoxycholic acid and its metal stability constants with cu2+ , co2+ ,mn2+ and zn2+ by using potentiometric studies. The stability constants(logk1 and logk2) of the formed complexes increase with increasing temperature. The effect of temperature was studied at different temperatures and the correspounding thermodynamic parameters (ΔG, ΔH and ΔS) were derived and discussed. the dissociation process is non-spontoneous,endothermic and entropically un favable. The formation of the metal complexes has been found to be spontaneous, endothermic and entropically favorable.
