Abstract

This study was carried out at Maryout Research Station, belonging to the Desert Research Center (DRC), Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, located at 34 Km west of Alexandria and the Department of Animal and Fish Production, Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University. All analyses were carried out at the Animal Nutrition Laboratory, Department of Animal and Fish Production, Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University. This study lasted for ten months during August 2014 to June 2015. The aim of this study was to test the effect of condensed tannins and saponins supplementation on reproductive and productive performance in Barki ewes under fixed estrus synchronization protocol. This study was divided into two experiments, first experiment lasted six months from four weeks premating to lambing for study the effect of supplementation on reproductive performance of Barki ewes and second experiment lasted four months from after lambing to the weaning for study the effect of supplementation on productive performance of lactating Barki ewes.
