Abstract Pediatric chronic renal diseases are considered one of the most common pediatric chronic diseases , Advances in medical care and interventions lead to increase in survival rates of those patients coinciding with the appearance of psychiatric comorbidities. The aim of this work: 1. To investigate the presence of psychiatric disorders in pediatric patients with chronic renal disease compared to their siblings . 2. To assess the frequency and types of co-morbidities of psychiatric disorders in pediatric patient with chronic renal disease . 3.To estimates the factors that may be implicated in the appearance of psychiatric disorders in pediatric patients with chronic renal disease. In order to obtain our aims, our study was divided into two parts: A - Review of the Literature. B - Practical Part A - Review of The Literature: CHAPTER 1 : Pediatric chronic kidney disease. In this chapter we discussed definition of pediatric chronic kidney disease, epidemiology, etiology, clinical manifestations and complications that appear on affected child.
