Abstract
This study was conducted on two macro algae isolates, one of each of Cladophora glomerata and Ulva fasciata, were obtained from Alexandria governorate, Egypt. The fresh water alga, Cladophora sp. was collected from El-Amria, Alexandria, Egypt. The marine alga, Ulva sp. was collected from the coastal area EL-Shatby coast, Alexandria. The preliminary identification of pure collected algae based on light microscopic images and identification to species level proved that the fresh water alga was C. glomerata and the marine alga was U. fasciata.
