Abstract A field study was carried out to evaluate hygienic quality of water used in fish farms with estimation of some water pollutant from different fish farms from different governorates. A total of 80 water samples and 150 fish samples was collected during the period from October 2014 to Apirl 2015 at three governorates: Sharkia governorate, Port said governorate and Ismailia governorate the results revealed less heavy metal pollution and fecal coliform contamination in Port said farm (marine aquaculture) followed by fresh water aquacultures ( Sharkia and Ismailia farms), Also,\Field study is followed by an experimental study that was conducted on apparently health juvenile Nile tilapia (Orechromis niloticus ) for 45 days to evaluate the effect of different heavy metals combination (based on previous survey on 3 fish farms) on fish performance, some hematological and immune parameters. Obtained results revealed that heavy metal affect fish negatively by reduce feed intake, body weight, severe anemia, leucopenia, lymphopenia and decrease immune responses towards bacterial infection. |
