Abstract Objectives: The study included that:Isolation, purification and identification some bacterial and fungal isolates form soils of sugar beet plants. Evaluating the efficiency of microorganisms under study for antagonistic activity against damping-off disease caused by Fusarium spp. under the lab and greenhouse condition. Studying mechanism of controlling Fusarium spp. by isolated microorganisms. Methods and results: Studying biological control showed the possibility of controlling sugar beet damping-off by certain bioagents i.e. B. subtilis, B. amyloliquefaciens, B. weihenstephanensis, B. pseudomycoides, T. viride, T. hrazianum and T. hamatum under greenhouse. Under greenhouse, the highest effect in controlling damping-off showed by seed treatment with T. viride and B. amyloliquefaciens for the control of F. solani and B. pseudomycoides and T. hamatum for the control of F. oxysporum while B. subtilis, T. hamatum and T. viride code No.(2) for the control of F. dimerum Conclusion: All bio agents controlling damping-off disease comparable to the untreated control. |
