Abstract
This study was divided into two parts; pre- and postharvest experiments. The objectives of these experiments were to investigate the effects of pre-harvest treatments (planting dates and cultivars) on the vegetative growth characters, yield and its components, quality characteristics and chemical constituents of two commercially garlic cultivars; Sids-40 and the Balady as well as to follow up the pre-harvest factors and post-harvest treatments (curing for14 days and 21 days) on storability of garlic plants.
