Abstract

Rift Valley Fever (RVF) is an acute infectious zoonotic arthropod–born viral disease affecting cattle, sheep, goats and camels causing, high mortalities and abortion. The consequences of RVF are dramatic for both human and animal health. The only way for prevention and control of the disease in animals are the vaccination with safe and potent vaccine to prevent the infection in animals and transmission of the disease from animals to human.
A trial was conducted for preparation and evaluation improved RVF oil vaccine by using adjuvant which is Montanide( IMS 3015) (W/O). This vaccine was compared with traditional vaccine (aluminum hydroxide gel vaccine).
Biochemical analysis the total proteins concentration in sheep vaccinated with montanide (IMS 3015) inactivated RVF vaccine was significantly increased higher than controls and also higher than sheep vaccinated with aluminum hydroxide inactivated RVF vaccine with no significant changes in sheep treated with montanide (IMS 3015) only .
And there was highly significant decreased of albumin concentration in sheep vaccinated with montanide (IMS 3015) inactivated RVF vaccine than controls and also lower than sheep vaccinated with aluminium hydroxide inactivated RVF vaccine with no significant changes in sheep treated with montanide (IMS 3015).
