Abstract

The present study aimed at investigating the effectiveness of using Humor through Interactive White Board in developing fourth primary pupil’s listening skills. The participants of the study were 83 fourth year primary stage. They were divided into two groups. One served as a control group and the other served as an experimental group. Both groups were pre-tested in listening skills. The experimental group was taught by using Humor through Interactive White Board whereas the control group was taught through the regular strategy. The main findings of the present study present evidence that using Humor through Interactive Whiteboard is effective in helping learners develop their listening skills fluently. In the light of the current study, it is recommended training teachers to use the Interactive Whiteboard efficiently, providing it especially in the primary stage and regarding using humor in teaching English because it offers enjoyment and motivation in the learning environment. This study has also suggested that further researches should be conducted on the effectiveness of using humor through Interactive Whiteboard on learning English skills in general.
