Abstract
This study was carried on two hundred forty of day old broiler Cobb chicks (120 cocks and 120 hens) were purchased from a reputable dealer at Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, Egypt. The chicks were inspected for any deformities and health problems such as lameness, crooked legs and beaks, pasty vents and unhealed navels. The chicks were divided into equal four groups. Each group was housed in a separate room. The obtained results are; The mixed green blue light color and blue light color leading to increasing in the BW, BWG, Rest and sleep time, NDV antibody titer and T3& T4 than those in the other white color group. While, the lowest FCR, Mortality rate and H/L ratio were recorded in the birds reared under mixed green, blue and blue light groups and these results lower the cost of the product. Finally, these results suggest that BL may play a role in alleviating the stress response in broilers.
