Abstract Inferior turbinate hypertrophy is a common cause of nasal obstruction affecting patients’ life quality and is frequently seen in an ENT clinic. It can be treated by topical corticosteroid or antihistamine. Patients went to surgery when refractory to medical treatment. A proper history taking with proper diagnosis and treatment of laryngopharyngeal reflux is essential before proceeding to trurbinate surgery. In the present study, a comparison was made between two mucosal preserving techniques in forty patients divided into two equal groups. These techniques are radiofrequency ablation and endoscopic assisted turbinoplasty with mucosal flap. |
