Abstract To date, there is no consensus regarding the best scoring system for prediction of mortality after cardiac surgery. Many studies have been conducted on intensive care scoring systems after cardiac surgery estimating mortality and morbidity. But these studies have reported different results. The aim of this work was to compare the ability of different scores in predicting clinical outcome after open heart surgery in our centre. Seventy patients older than 18 years who were admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department – Tanta University Hospitals after open heart surgery Between October 2015 and March 2017 were the subjects of this study. |
