Abstract
The present research was carried out to evaluate and compare clinically and radiographically the validity of intramarrow penetration (IMP) with open flap debridement (OFD) in the treatment of intrabony defects in patients with severe chronic periodontitis. Thirty intrabony defects with 3 defects each patient were selected at the periodontology clinic, Faculty of dentistry, Tanta University, to be enrolled in the current study. All subjects received initial therapy of full mouth scaling and root planning, with oral hygiene instructions.re-evaluation was carried out at one month to insure the need for surgery. Digital panoramic radiographs and clinical parameters were taken for baseline data y.
