Abstract

please write abstract. This thesis aimed at evaluation of the role of Diffusion-Weighted MRI in characterization of soft tissue masses . The study included fifty patients (29 female and 21 male). Of the 50 cases 28 were benign and 22 were malignant tumors, most of the lesions were located in the lower limbs (30 cases), upper limbs (10 cases), the trunk wall (4 cases) , other sites, include neck(3cases), lt cheeck ( one case),scalp(one case)and lt gluteal region(one case). The DWI was obtained with b values including 50, 400 and 800 mm2/second. The Apparent Diffusion Coefficient (ADC) generated by measuring identical images at different b-values and represented as ADC map from which ADC value calculated. The diagnosis was confirmed after the MRI examination by histologic biopsy according to standard histopathological procedures.
