Abstract
The oral route of drug administration is the most convenient for patients, tablet considered as the most popular solid oral dosage form used today. However oral administration of drugs has disadvantages such as first pass metabolism and enzymatic degradation within the GI tract. A major challenging problem facing pharmaceutical scientists is the formulation of poorly water-soluble drugs and it is expected to increase because approximately one half of the newly discovered chemical entities suffer from poor water solubility.
