Abstract With the rapid advances in the area of microprocessor in recent years, digital control has become more attractive and economical in a large number of applications. This thesis is studying the digital control systems, to instruct and connect digital computer to real systems for control purposes. In this thesis different controller methods used. Designing of linear quadratic optimal control system for discrete time system based on linear quadratic gaussian (LQG) technique is presented. Other type of digital controller is designed based on H∞ technique. Two different systems are considered as cases study Case (I): Robust Digital Controller Design for Load Frequency Control Based On H∞ and Linear Quadratic Gaussian Techniques for Non-Reheat Steam Turbine Case (II): Robust Controllers Design Based on H∞ and LQG techniques for Automatic Load Frequency Control of Double Reheat Steam Turbine. MATLAB software and simulations were used to obtain all computations. |
