Abstract This study aimed to investigate the role of the Ministry of Tourism in qualifying graduates to work in hotels through measuring the effectiveness of youth training program from the trainees’ perspectives. For achieving this aim, the study collected the required data through distributing questionnaire forms to trainees from 2011 to 2015 who were about 400 trainees in greater Cairo. The study revealed that the hotels and the Ministry of tourism didn’t concern about measuring the level of trainees’ knowledge, skills and attitudes. In addition, there was no specific test for trainees during or after training program. The study recommended that hotels and the Ministry of Tourism must follow a specific technique in evaluating the level of the trainees’ skills. In addition, the Ministry of Tourism should follow-up both the hotels and the trainees during training process. |
