Abstract
The present i n v e s t i g a t i o n w a s carried out t o study. the e f f e c t of plowing depth and forward speed on the performance of four d i f f e r e n t t y p e s of s e t s indicated as follows: a) Chisel plow + Disk harrow + Land board-leveler, b) Moldboard plow 2 bottoms with rotovator + Land boardl e v e l e r . c) Rotary plow + land board-leveler, and d) Moldboard plow 3 bottoms + Disk harrow t Land boardleveler. The study was extended t o include s o i l physical properties of the f i e l d area which indicated as clay s o i l (bulk density, t o t a l prosity, i n f i l t r a t i o n r a t e and s o i l p e n e t r a b i l i t y s o i l p r o f i l e , clod s i z e d i s t r i b u - tion, energy requirrnent, t o t a l costs and yield of corn. 5.1. : Reld experiments: The study was carried out at Hosh 6, Tani El-Nattaf farm (Mehallet Mousa), Sakha Agricultural Research 1.1.: Physical Properties: 5.1.1.1.: Bulk densitx: It was calculated by using core method. Results revealed from these experiments a r e as follows: - Increasiag the plowing depth increased the bulk density.
