Abstract Laboratory and field experiments were conducted through this study. a-Laboratory experiments: These experiments were performed at the Laboratory of Horticulture Department, Mallawy Agriculture Research Station, Hort. Res. Institute, Giza, Egypt, on garlic cv.”Egaseed 1”.The current study aimed to study the role of aqueous solution of fertilizer treatment [Organic (Humic acid (HA), Poultry manure (PM) and Inorganic (sulphur)(S)], and four levels from phosphorous (P2O5 ), and its combination on the root and shoot initiation of garlic cloves under lab conditions. B - Field Experiments An experiment was conducted at the Experimental Farm of Mallawi Agriculture Research Station, Agriculture Research Center, Giza, Egypt, during the two growth winter seasons of 2013/2014 and 2014/2015 on garlic cv.”Egaseed1”. The treatments consists of four levels of phosphorus P2O5 (P) (0, 40, 60 and 80 kg fed-1) and fertilizer type treatments [ Organic (Poultry manure (PM), 6.00 ton. fed-1, and Humic acid (HA), 5.0 kg fed-1) and Inorganic (Sulfur (S ), 100 kg fed-1)] and its combinations to obtain 32 treatments The current study aimed to study the effect of pre-planting soil amendment of these treatments on bulb quality and storability. |
