Abstract

Peripapillary RNFL thickness measurements were obtained by spectralis spectral domain Optical coherence tomography. The participants were categorized into four groups group (1) High myopia : SE ≥-6.0 D. (2) Low myopia :SE between -1.00 D to - 5.5 D., group, group (3) High hyermetropia : SE >+6.0 D. , group (4) Low hyermetropia : SE between +1.00 D to + 5.5 D., After finishing all subjects imaging, statistical analysis has been done.
A RNFL thickness was lower in the high myopic eyes compared with high hypermetropic eyes in all quadrants except in temporal quadrant. A highly significant positive correlation was evident between spherical equivalent and RNFL thickness in each quadrant.
