Abstract The main contents of this chapter were procedure and materials used in synthesis of three amidoamine double tailed cationic surfactants with the experimental techniques used in the present investigation, which includes: The Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H NMR) for the chemical structure elucidation of the new prepared surfactants, Conductivity and surface tension measurements for detection the critical micelle concentration values (CMC) for surfactants, in addition to weight loss, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and potentiodynamic polarization techniques for corrosion measurements. The detailed description of the electrochemical cell, electrodes, solutions, and experimental procedure for each used technique. |
