Abstract

According to the constant and limited water resources in Egypt besides, the expected climate changes and the continuous increasing population therefore water should be applied as a rare commonly. This can be achieved through a lot procedures that can all lead to lesson water consumption by plant and maximize irrigation water use efficiency in turn, obtaining the best productivity from a water until.
The obtain objectives of this study:
1- Study the performance of bubbler hydraulic parameters,
2- Determine the irrigation requirements for date palms depend on climate data of El-Dakhla area,
3- Effect of different irrigation systems on water saving and vegetative properties for date palm,
4- Effect of different irrigation systems on water distribution around root zoon of date palm, and
5- Operating Economical for used different irrigation systems.
Laboratory hydraulic experiment is carried out to evaluate hydraulic performance for three bubbler nozzles types (bubbler A)- bubbler (B), bubbler (C)) under different operating pressure heads (0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0) bar, select the best to applied in private farm El-Dakhla El-Wady El-Gded Governorate, Egypt (2013-2014), (2014-2015) seasons and study the effect of using selected bubbler and basin in irrigation system on vegetative properties for date palm, water saving and cost analysis.
The obtained results as follows:
1- There is a positive relative between the operation pressure and the bubbler flow rate. Regarding to the effect of operating pressure on the flow rate of the different studied bubbler nozzles types (A), (B) and (C).However Bubbler nozzle (A) revealed the highest discharge rate (35.5-72 l/h) at (0.5-2 bar). Mean C.V of 0.06-0.04 at pressure (1-1.5 bar) and F.EU of ( 94.5%) at (1.5 bar).
2- Results revealed that water saving of about 50% had been observed under bubbler irrigation systems comparing with basin irrigation system.
3- The bubbler irrigation system gave the highest values of the vegetative parameters for date palm such as number of bunches, length of the trunk and trunk diameter (8,43cm,130cm) comparing the basin irrigation system (0,20cm,87.5cm).
4- Costs were calculated for one fed. under traditional irrigation system and bubbler irrigation system under the same operating conditions and total costs for traditional irrigation is 7758.8 L.E./fed/year and bubbler irrigation is 4822L.E./fed/year.
