Abstract
The thesis studies the class struggle in John Steinbeck`s novels. John Steinbeck is a well-known author who has written several novels. The aim of his novels is to show for his readers about the conditions of the poor, the lower class which has suffered a lot for many decades because it does not possess the means of production. They remain under the rule of the upper class, the landowners and the bankers. Steinbeck depicts the class struggle and the various conflicts related to class stratification in his novels; In Dubious Battle, Of Mice and Men and The Grapes of Wrath. The main objective of this thesis is to analyze class struggle and the suffering of migrant workers during the Great Depression in John Steinbeck`s novels.
