Abstract Acute poisoning is one of the most prominent causes of emergency unit admissions. Identification and documentation of epidemiological aspects are of great importance for determination of proper preventive measures (1). Poisoning in children is relatively frequent and is a result of the reaction between xenobiotics, a child, a family and child’s environment (2). Poisoning in children is considered the third most common pediatric emergencies leading to high social and economical burden. (3 & 4). |
