Abstract The present study was conducted at the Genetics and Genetic Engineering Lab, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Zagazig University. The main objective of this study was to detect firstly GH, PRL, Leptin and kappa casein polymorphism in three species of dairy cattle (Holstein, Native and brown Swiss) cattle reared under Egyptian conditions, secondly qualitative genetic expression of (PRL, Leptin and kappa casein) in three species of dairy cattle, thirdly biochemical analysis, daily milk production and milk constituent in three breeds. The goal of the present study has been achieved by employing different molecular genetic techniques; PCR-RFLP, real time PCR (RT-PCR), hormonal analysis by ELIZA test and milk constituent by Milkoscan. Blood samples from forty selected cattle from each of them (Holstein, Native and brown Swiss) were collected into tubes containing an anticoagulant disodium EDTA and then DNA from these samples were extracted, Blood samples for protein analysis were collected into non-heparinized vacationer tubes to containing serum for hormonal analysis. Forty Milk samples for each breed were collected for chemical examination (RT-PCR) and milk composition. |
