Abstract

A significant amount of energy we consume each year is rejected as solar heat to the ambient. Conservative estimates place the quantity of energy wasted at about 70%. Converting the solar heat into electrical power would be convenient and effective for a number of primary and secondary applications. A viable solution for converting solar heat into electrical energy is to use thermoelectric power conversion.
Thermoelectric power generation is based on solid state technology with no moving parts and works on the principle of Seebeck effect. In this work a thermoelectric generator (TEG) system simulator was developed to compare the datasheet and the practical results and to get maximum power from (TEG) with closed loop control system.
The maximum power experimental got by using three methods (mechanical tracking system double axis to track the sunlight at all hour in day& thermal tracking system to save the cell from over heat and new electronic tracking system {Test Load Method} to using all power of cell and select loads automatic).
Experimentally a parabolic dish solar generating system was used as a case study for the application of TEG. And there are different seven methods to cool the cold side of cell to choose the suitable methods. And compare between this results to showing the optimum method with this cell.
