Abstract

The aim of this study is to: 1. Compare between aggressive benign epithelial odontogenic tumors (MAB & KCOT) and common odontogenic carcinomas (ABC & CCOC) using FCM DNA analysis and AgNORs. 2. Correlate the FCM analysis of DNA and AgNORs staining with histo-pathological findings of the examined lesions. 3. Correlate the obtained FCM results with those of AgNORs.
 PICOS format:
P= MAB, KCOT.
I= FCM analysis and AgNORs staining.
C= CCOC and ABC.
O= Ploidy status and SPF using FCM, the mAgNORs using AgNORs staining and the sensitivity of both interventions.
S= Diagnostic accuracy study.
 Research question: “In epithelial odontogenic tumors, Can FCM analysis and AgNORs staining differentiate between aggressive benign and malignant tumors? Do the FCM and AgNORs staining results correlate with the histopathological findings and with each other?”
