Abstract Satisfaction with services IS one of the most important area In healthy services sector in the level of the search specialty health services, while the elderly satisfaction can recognize as a tool for measuring the quality of services. Aim of study: This study aimed to assess the elderly satisfaction regarding health services at geriatric homes in Port Said City. Subject and Methods: A descriptive research design was utilized with convenience sampling of 77 elders lived at available three geriatric homes in Port-Said City. Two tools were used to collect data of the study, an interviewing questionnaire sheet for demographic data and modified elderly satisfaction questionnaire. Results: Findings suggest that (69%) of elderly unsatisfied with health services provided to them. There were statistically significant differences between total concept of satisfaction scores and elder’s age and enough income for treatment and food expenses, with (p=O.OOO). Conclusion: The study concluded that the elderly unsatisfied with health services provided to them at geriatric homes in Port Said City. Health care system reform is a major issue in many countries to make services more accessible to the elderly people. Recommendation: The study recommended that reinforce our community to encourage the positive behavior toward the elderly and establish special health services fully and appropriately equipped for the elderly. |
