Abstract

Learning environment is one of the critical components of the learning experieBackground: Learning environment is one of the critical components of the learning experience and student satisfaction also considered a core element of higher education institutions. Aim: The aim of the present research is to study the relationship between learning environment and student satisfaction among nursing students in Port Said University. Subject and Methods: A descriptive study was utilized in 2012 with a sample (133) of students in third and fourth academic year. Data were collected by two questionnaire sheets, one for assess learning environment and other for determining level of satisfaction by student satisfaction inventory (SSI). Results revealed that learning environment and student satisfaction scored a moderate level according to the student’s perception. Conclusion: there is a significant relationship between learning environment and student satisfaction. Recommendations: the faculty should increase facilities that create appropriate learning environment.
